Self-assessment

 

    For this final task, the professor asked us to write a self-assessment about our performance during the course. We reflected on the effort we put into the subject, evaluated the quality of our work, and gave ourselves a final grade with a clear justification based on our learning and participation.

            Throughout this course, I noticed how hard is to deal with carrier, job, work after school, and family. Despite everything I believe I have demonstrated responsibility, creativity, and commitment to my professional development as an English teacher; but also, as a student; trying not to lose the focus of my job and keep working on the goals at the University increasing wisdom. I have worked and reflected on my role as an educator who seeks to apply innovative and engaging strategies in the classroom. During my teaching practice, especially with elementary students, I focused on improving speaking skills through the use of interactive, virtual, and face-to-face games. This sparkle in me born when the school guide us to focus on which aspect do, I would like to improve in my area. So, applying these activities helped students feel more motivated and reduced their speaking anxiety, creating a more positive learning environment.

I have followed university rules responsibly and completed my assignments on time, always trying to meet the quality standards required by my teachers. Before submitting my work, I reviewed and corrected mistakes to improve the final result as much as possible. I also tried to participate actively in class activities and collaborative projects, showing respect and commitment toward my academic responsibilities. In addition, I have worked consistently to improve my English level, especially in speaking and pronunciation. I used different tools and resources, including technology and AI platforms such as School Ai, Microsoft Copilot, to practice and strengthen my language skills. These experiences helped me become more confident when communicating in English and allowed me to continue developing professionally. 

For all these reasons, I believe I deserve a final grade of 9.5. I consider this grade fair because it reflects my effort, responsibility, creativity, and dedication throughout the course. I have shown continuous improvement in both my academic and teaching skills, while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to learning.

My self-assessment helped me reflect on my progress, effort, and participation throughout the course. I analyzed my strengths and the areas I still need to improve as an English teacher. I also recognized the importance of responsibility, creativity, and commitment in my academic work. This activity allowed me to evaluate my learning honestly and understand how much I have grown professionally and personally during the subject.
