Sanamente Libremente
My reflections on the course SanaMente LibreMente, focuses on mental health, peace culture, and addiction prevention in educational settings. The course emphasized the importance of emotional well-being.
I learned that helping students recognize and manage their emotions is foundational to their learning and social interactions. We have to work on prevention strategies for addiction and harmful behaviors. . I now see prevention as an ongoing process integrated into daily classroom routines, rather than a one-time lesson. I reflected on peace culture and social responsibility, promoting respect, empathy, and collaboration in the classroom helps students develop not only academically but also socially and morally. It's going to be a hard work, but I would like to implement in the classroom activities like reflective journals, guided discussions, or “check-in circles” to normalize emotional expression. While we cannot provide clinical support, we can observe warning signs, provide initial guidance, and connect students with professional resources when necessary.
